Research interest: Device physics in OPVs and OPDs
Yao is a third-year Ph.D. candidate in Prof. Jiaying WU’s group. Before that, She received her master degree in Zhejiang University, China and bachelor degree in Northwest University, China. Her research interest focuses on the device physics and charge carrier dynamics in optoelectronics, like organic photovoltaics (OPVs) and organic photodetectors (OPDs) based on transient techniques like transient photovoltage/photocurrent (TPV/TPC), transient absorption spectroscopy (TAS), pump-push probe techniques (PPP). She is currently working on understanding the charge generation process on single-component organic solar cells, and exploring the origin of dark current in organic photodetectors.
